We are finally here! After two weeks in Thailand and over a week in Changchun, we are finally getting settled in Chengdu.
Over the past two months we have traveled in all kinds of vehicles. Here are a few:
Planes: We have traveled in approximately 7 separate planes. We flew on planes from America, Taiwan, Thailand, and Mainland China.
Trains: We traveled on two Chinese trains. One was sleeper and the other was soft seat. Unfortunately we could only get seats for the first 4 hours; the last three hours we had to stand.
Taxis: I can't count the number of taxis we have traveled in over the past two months.
Three Wheeled Motorcycle Taxis (Tuk Tuks) : Thailand Tuk Tuks are a lot of fun and a fast way to get around Chiangmai.
Electric Bike taxis: Chengdu has a lot of three wheeled electric bike taxis. They are cheap, quick and everywhere.
Bikes: We are the proud owners of 4 new bikes. Bikes aren't recreation for our family but a daily form of transportation.
Walking: Walking is a must in all of Asia! No matter the weather, our family is just one of many in the crowds walking on the streets.
Please be lifting up our family! Our Visa situation could still use thought. Chengdu smog and dampness is a great combination for coughs. None of us has escaped coughing. We would appreciate your thoughts.
