Four Naughty Boys

As I sat at Dicos, drinking hot tea and reading the word, a Chinese gal in her early thirties approached me.  "Do you speak English?" she asked.  The rest in history.

May and her husband lived in the US and England for ten years with their young daughter while her husband was in graduate school.  During that time May made some important decisions that affected the rest of her life. Now this family of three has returned to their home town, Chengdu.

May and I visit often, and some of her friends have become mine.  All of these gals have children in the third grade.  May's daughter is sweet, easy going and loves to speak English.  The friends boys are smart and very active, very, very active.

I have been working with these four boys in our living room trying to channel their extra energy into English games and races.  May's daughter practices her English with Haley back in her bedroom.  The noise from the boys is so loud that Haley can her them through two tightly closed doors!

How can four 8 year olds cause so much chaos! Not much learning has taken place over the last four lessons, but yesterday afternoon was the turning point.  Yesterdays lesson was a true miracle, an answer to many thoughts.  Not only did they behave, but some other wonderful things happened with parents!
Please continue to lift up Kevin, Jack, Jason and Tom!  Especially Tom!!!

Thanks so much for your "thoughts" and support!
We need to build our support account and bring on new financial supporters.
Would you consider supporting our work here?  We are in need of 20 new supporters at $50.00 per month.
Your support makes it possible for us to pay rent, purchase plane tickets, pay for insurance, receive our set monthly living allowance and continue working in China.
