Our Father is amazing!  Todd and I too often miss what He is doing, and then all of a sudden stand in awe!  Last blog, we shared about Ben (Fangxiaobin) who we met on the street in 2000.  This week I want to reintroduce you to Lee (Liming) whom we also met on the streets of Changchun through Ben.

Name:  Liming (English Lee)
Age:  25 years old
Birthday: June 4, 1988
Family:  Mom (gambles), Dad (deceased suicide), sister (deceased  suicide), foster family (Foster Father alchohlic)
Education:  first grade
Experience: lived on the street off and on from age 6 until age 18,  suffered physical abuse as long as he can remember, has been in jail twice
Occupation: various, at present working in a factory near Beijing making candles

“When can I see you again?”  ,was Lee’s question as we contacted him via internet.  Well, we did see him again in early January.  His skin was rough with grim that wouldn’t wash off from hard manual labor. Still he seemed really happy.  Lee seems very proud of his ability to hold a decent, honest job, rent a small countryside apartment (heated by coal), and live an independent life.  We are proud of the changes we see in him!  We are happy he isn’t trying to make a quick buck by schemes or shady bar work.
Ben and Lee

We have known Lee since he was 13 years old.  Those years haven't been easy.  Probably the toughest time was when he tried to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills! We're so thankful he lived!

Please ask with us that Lee makes a decision for the Father.  Although he was open at one time, he is resistant at present.
